A Selective Guide to the V&A’s South Asian Collection

Delfina Foundation
2019

During her combined residency programme at Delfina Foundation and Victoria and Albert Museum, Indian contemporary artist Avani Tanya has interpreted a selection of exhibits and found documents from the V&A South Asian collection. This booklet is the result of her research in London, showcasing a series of reflections on post-colonialism and curated contributions from a collective of artists. The design decisions taken during the process are the result of a series of attempts to both reference and reinterpret the visual language of the museum and its archive.
